Negative Verses Positive Energy

We all feel negative at some point in our lives don’t we? What if I told you that in this blog I will tell you what negative energy is caused by and how it can be outweighed by positive energy?

What is negative energy?

Negative energy is defined as the tendency to be down, skeptical, and pessimistic. If we are being negative, we generally find the worst in any situation, often even seeing negative things where they may not exist. That’s why negativity tends to be bad for our mental health and well-being.

Causes of negativity include:

  • Something not going to plan
  • Abuse can make you feel negative because you may have grown up with it or you may have an abusive partner which may cause you to feel like you cant do any better and that that is as far as you can go. Sometimes you may not see a way out of these abusive situations which also makes you feel negative.
  • Certain medications can have side affects that make you feel negative due to the ingredients in the medication you are taking.
  • Conflict can make you feel negative whether that is if your being bullied or if there is a war going on. We all have something inside of us that can have various affects on our body such as a stomach ache can form when there has been unexpected conflict. Fighters may develop a negative feeling before a big fight such as they may start to wonder if they lose what will happen to their followers. We can get negative feelings when involved in being bullied because you may be scared about what could happen and that is completely normal. Most Police Officers may develop a feeling of negativity before they go to a call as they do not know what could happen when they get there.
  • Losing someone you love can make you feel negative because you may not know what to do now someone who was a massive part of your life isn’t there anymore. you may start to feel worthless and depressed because you may not know how you can go on in life without them. The truth is no matter where they are they will always be with you in your heart.
  • Large changes in life can leave you feeling negative, like if you have been accepted to University it is great but you may experience negativity on whether you will do well or what will life be like without your family near by to lean on.
  • Physical illness can also make you feel negative because of how much the illness may restrict you.
  • Addiction may cause you to feel negative because you may feel like you cant change the person you are, you may feel you cannot give up your addiction which leads to negativity. Remember there is always a way out of any addiction.
  • If you lack self respect that can also lead to negativity. This may be because you don’t like a certain part of you or you may feel trapped in a body that you do not want to be in, for example transgender individuals may have felt that they were not happy in the body of lets say a female and they wanted to be a male. This is an option.

When you are feeling negative ask yourself these four questions:

  • How does your negative thinking affect your life?
  • What are your most common negative thoughts? Maybe write a list, it helps.
  • What positive things can you say about yourself?
  • What do you like about yourself?

FEEL FREE TO ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS IN THE COMMENT SECTION IF YOU ARE COMFORTABLE.

If you are feeling negative say to yourself “I choose positive thoughts for a positive future. I fill my soul with upbeat vibes. I am on the right path.”

A quote about negativity that I like is “I will no longer allow the NEGATIVE things in my life to SPOIL all the GOOD things I have. I choose to be HAPPY”

So that’s negativity but fear not this can be replaced by positivity.

Positivity

What is positivity?

Positivity is the practice or tendency to be positive or optimistic in life. When we are positive, we engage in positive thinking, have positive emotions, and engage in positive behaviors like kindness and generosity. All of this positivity contributes to positive outcomes like improved well-being and mental health.

Causes of positivity

  • Do an activity you enjoy
  • Meet up with friends
  • Take up a new sport
  • Go to the gym
  • Treat yourself
  • Learn a new skill
  • Do a wellbeing activity like yoga
  • Challenge yourself
  • Go for a walk
  • Think about the positive in every situation

There is loads you can do to find the positive and feel the positive you have just got to find your thing.

When you want to feel positive or you are feeling positive ask yourself these three questions:

  • Is your glass half full or half empty? What is in the half full part and what is missing in the empty space?
  • Does your life reflect positive or negative attitude? Give Examples.
  • What would your positive message to others be? (I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR ANSWERS TO THIS)

FEEL FREE TO ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS.

When you want to feel positive or you are feeling positive tell yourself “I breathe in positivity. I breathe out negativity. I embrace the rhythm of life in all its glory. I am a positive being.”

A quote I like on positivity is “Follow your dreams, believe in yourself, never ever give up!”

REMEMBER POSITIVITY OUTWEIGHS NEGATIVITY, EVERY DARK CLOUD HAS A SILVER LINING. IF YOU CAN FIND POSITIVITY IN YOUR LIFE THEN YOU HAVE MADE YOURSELF UNSTOPPABLE, YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR MIND TO. YOU CAN LIVE YOUR LIFE POSITIVE AND HAPPY. YES YOU WILL STILL HAVE LOW DAYS BUT YOU CAN HAVE WAY MORE POSITIVE DAYS THAN NEGATIVE IF YOU START FINDING THE POSITIVE IN EVERYTHING YOU DO. NO MATTER HOW BAD THE NEGATIVE IS THERE WILL USUALLY ALWAYS BE A POSITIVE YOU CAN SET YOUR MIND TO.

THANK YOU FOR READING THIS BLOG AND AS ALWAYS I’D LOVE TO HEAR YOUR OPINIONS AND SUGGESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS.
